Who we are

SAAJ Consultancy Ltd (“SAAJ”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 14856638, with a registered office at 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX.

The information we collect

  • Enquiry information. When you use our contact or quotation form we collect your name, company, email address, telephone number, the service you are interested in, worksite location, number of workers or employees, required start date, a description of your requirement and your preferred contact method.
  • Client information. Contact details and assignment information for the organisations we work with.
  • Worker and candidate information. Where we provide recruitment, temporary staffing, payroll or security staffing services, we handle information such as identity and right-to-work documents, contact details, licence details, working time and attendance records, and pay and deduction records.
  • Website information. Technical information created when you visit the site, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view.

How we use your information, and our lawful basis

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide a quotation — your consent when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
  • To deliver our services — performance of a contract with you, or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations — for example right-to-work checks, payroll and HMRC reporting, workplace pension duties, and the record-keeping expected of a GLAA licensed labour provider and of employers of SIA-licensed personnel.
  • To keep our website and records secure and accurate — our legitimate interest in running the business safely and properly.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only where it is necessary, and only with:

  • client organisations and labour users, where we supply workers or provide services on your behalf;
  • HMRC, pension providers and other bodies where the law requires it;
  • regulators such as the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority and the Security Industry Authority, where required;
  • service providers who support our business, such as our website host, IT and email providers, and professional advisers, who act on our instructions.

We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you contact us again. Client, worker and payroll records are kept for the periods required by employment, tax and licensing rules, and are then securely deleted or destroyed.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of your personal information, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask us to delete information or restrict how we use it, to object to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests, to ask for your information in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it.
